How we decide who goes on this list

We don't rank these sites with scores. A casino gets listed when we can answer four questions from its own pages and from the regulator:

  1. Who runs it? A named company in the footer and terms.
  2. Who licenses it? A licence we can find on the regulator's own website, not just a logo.
  3. Can you read the terms? Bonus wagering, time limits, withdrawal rules and verification set out where you can find them.
  4. Are there tools to stay in control? Deposit limits, time-outs and a way to close your account.

Our review method explains the process. We earn a commission when you sign up through our links, and that doesn't change what we write.

Who is behind these brands

Most of the names above belong to a handful of companies, which is useful to know because the account rules tend to be similar across a group.

  • Baytree Interactive Ltd, a Guernsey company, runs Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Lucky Nugget, River Belle and Platinum Play. The Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission's list of permit holders includes Baytree Interactive Limited with these brands' domains.
  • Betway Limited runs Betway. Its footer states a Malta Gaming Authority licence; we haven't checked the number on the MGA's register.
  • Stable Tech N.V. holds Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/161/0191, which we checked on the authority's portal. It covers N1Bet, RollXO, SpiritCasino, SlotLords and Joocasino.

Check it's legal where you live

An offshore licence doesn't make a casino legal everywhere. Some countries license online casinos locally and expect you to use those sites:

  • Great Britain: use sites licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Our UK list is the place to start.
  • Ontario: use sites registered with iGaming Ontario. Betway and Spin Casino, for example, send Ontario visitors to separate Ontario sites.
  • Germany: only operators on the GGL whitelist may offer virtual slots and online poker. See our Germany law guide.
  • Australia: online casinos may not be offered to people in Australia under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. See our Australia law guide.

Bonus wagering at a glance

Wagering is the single most useful number in a bonus. From the terms we read in October 2026:

  • Jackpot City, Spin Casino and Ruby Fortune: 35x the bonus amount.
  • Betway's Canadian casino offer: 50x bonus wagering within 7 days.
  • N1Bet: 50x unless an offer says otherwise, with 7 days to use a bonus.

At 35x, a C$100 bonus means C$3,500 in bets; at 50x it's C$5,000. For Royal Vegas, Lucky Nugget, River Belle and Platinum Play we couldn't load the bonus terms, so check them before claiming. If those numbers feel like a lot, skip the bonus and play with your own money.

Payment methods differ by brand and country

Don't assume a method you use at one casino works at another, even in the same group. For Canadian players, Spin Casino lists Interac, eCheck and MuchBetter for deposits and withdrawals; Platinum Play lists Visa, Mastercard, Instadebit, Interac, PaysafeCard, MuchBetter and Apple Pay; and N1Bet lists Interac e-Transfer, cards, bank transfer, iDebit, MuchBetter and several cryptocurrencies, with most deposit methods at a C$30 minimum. Prepaid vouchers such as PaysafeCard generally can't receive withdrawals, so add a method that can before you need it.

Which list should you use?

This page is a general overview. If you live in one of the countries we cover, the country pages are more useful, because they only show sites and offers aimed at that market and explain the local rules: Canada, UK, Germany and Australia.

Why we don't use star ratings here

A single score hides the things that actually decide whether a casino suits you: where you live, whether you want a bonus, how you pay and how you want to withdraw. Two players can reasonably prefer different sites from this list. So instead of a number, each review sets out the licence, the bonus terms, payments and verification, and leaves the judgement to you.

Before you deposit anywhere

  • Read the operator's own terms on the day you sign up; offers change.
  • Verify your account straight away so your first withdrawal isn't held up.
  • Use a payment method in your own name that can also receive withdrawals.
  • Set a deposit limit before your first session.
